Same as others, previously game just failed to launch and returned to EA home page, now get the "Vulkan Initialization Failed" error message. Sims 1 only, Sims 2 opens fine.
I uninstalled "opencl opengl and vulkan compatibility pack" via add or remove programs and that fixed it for me

I was combing through here and HAD to sign in just so I could THANK YOU!!! 🤯Ya'll definitely try this! If you're in Win 11 especially, just search "add or remove" in Start and/or settings itself and then search "Vulkan" and the Open ^ mentioned will be there, uninstall it and it'll load up no issue.

I uninstalled the Vulkan/OpenGL thingy and Sims1 opened and ran perfectly. But I'm pretty sure i need openGL for other games, so this really isn't a fix, more like a bandaid.
