Sims 1 crash on launch, post Feb 6 update

This thread is for Sims 1 crashing on launch after the February 6 patch.  If you're affected, please provide the a dxdiag, a vulkaninfo report, and an EA App error report ID.  Please also post a screenshot of any error message you see, or note that you don't see an error.  See below.

For the dxdiag, click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

For the vulkaninfo, click Windows key-R, enter vulkaninfo in the run box, and wait for the scan to finish (the scroll bar should stop moving).  Click anywhere in the window and click ctrl-A to highlight all the text.  Click ctrl-C to copy.  Open Notepad and ctrl-V to paste.  Save the file as vulkaninfo [your username] , upload it to a third-party filesharing site, and send a private message to EA_Solaire with the link.

If you have a gmail account, you have Google Drive too and some free storage.  Otherwise, Dropbox and Pastebin are good options.

Here's how to create an EA App error report:

https://help.ea.com/en/help/ea/ea-app/run-ea-error-report/

Please post the report ID in this thread along with your dxdiag.

For the error message, if you have one, you can use Windows key-shift-S to take a screenshot.  Attach it to your reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
