Sims 1 LC - Windows Media Player possible bug?

I think there may be a bug with the intro video playing, as on my Laptop, I cannot get to the intro video at all and the game stays at a black screen. The only way I was able to fix this was to renam...

Wait, there's a intro screen for TS1, like a cutscene? or is it the sims in red letters.

    There was, but I think when Superstar/Makin Magic/Complete Collection released they changed the intro video to just be the EA logo intro.
