If that doesn't help, or you don't know how to do it, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
Mikey0902 Please try reinstalling your 2015 and newer VC++ runtimes. Open Windows Settings > Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and uninstall everything from 2015 and newer. Don't touch the older versions.
Download the x86 and x64 versions (not the ARM version) of the 2022 runtimes from Microsoft:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170
Install the runtimes, restart your computer, and try to play.
If that doesn't help, please provide the information requested in the accepted solution of the master Sims 1 won't launch thread:

Update- when trying to download the program you suggested I was met with a "something went wrong. Your system has a driver that is locked to manufacturer specifications. Please try downloading the latest driver from the manufacturers website to update. Installer exit code 1." message. Unsure what to do next. Thank you!
