The Sims 1 Legacy Cannot Wash Pets

So I'm struggling here. I have a pet, and have grinding my tricks, obedience ect, but come to find out I thought my sim was washing my pet but doesn't actually do it. So he fills the tub, calls, and ...

    I tried but  still not working so I have installed the fix mentioned below for now and that works great.
