The Sims Legacy: Crashes While Saving During Gameplay

I can create sims/families just fine, I can build on empty lots and save the houses (no sims in it) just fine, but the moment I hit live mode and play for a bit and go to save, it crashes? Has this happened to anyone else? I've only seen posts about the game not booting up. 

I have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. I've updated my drivers and repaired Sims 1 Legacy in the EA app, restarted my computer and rebooted the game, but I'm still having issues. Was really excited for the re-release so I could play the game again after so many years 😭

    This is my experience as well.  I was able to play with no issues for about 2 hours but now any time I try to save a played household like you describe it crashes.  It's so frustrating!  Just spent money on this to not even be able to play :(

    this is exactly the issue i am having! hopefully there is a fix soon.. it's extremely frustrating
