The Sims Legacy Houses Invisible, Graphics Driver Update Error

Hi, I've been having similar issues all week trying to install The Sims Legacy Collection. I keep getting to 96% installed and then its stops and sends me an error message saying: VC++ runtime redistribution package was not loaded and install could not happen. I've tried just about every solution online from clearing the cache, reinstalling the EA app, running as administrator, tried to fix the drivers and had geek squad look into it and all they say is its an EA server issue but everyone else seems to have installed it. My Sims 4 also struggles with updates lately. Any help would be so appreciated. 

18hedwig  Please uninstall your current versions of the 2015-2022 VC++ runtimes, if you have them, and install fresh copies.  Hit Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, click on any version from 2015 or later, and select Uninstall.  Don't touch the older versions.  You can download the newest runtimes directly from Microsoft:

You'll need both the x86 and x64 versions of the 2015-2022 runtimes, but you can skip the ARM version, which is for a different class of device.  Restart your computer after installing and before trying to install Sims 1 again.
