Unable to perform any social interactions between household sims

In the Sims 1 i played normally for  a few in game days but suddenly I am no longer able to have the two sims interact with each other at all. controlling one and clicking on the other just brings up...

Also I’d like to point out that this issue is linked to another issue when you visit community lots and your sim can’t interact with some sims till that sim leaves the lot and comes back. I’ll visit old town (this happens on every type of lot) and there would be Elden walking around but I can’t click him to interact. But I can click Mama. Or Brad will walk around and I can click him and Tiffany but I can’t click their kid. Can happen to any sim and it’s annoying
