Hello everyone, this problem has nothing to do with the game specifically but I used to use a program called SimEnhancer with the Complete Collection which is basically like SimPE from Sims 2, where you can edit various things about your sims, the neighborhood and so on, but with the Legacy Edition it no longer works, any ideas why?
The registry keys originally used by the game are no longer there, so the program probably doesn't know where TS1 Legacy is installed.
You may be able to restore functionality by recreating some of the registry entries where they were originally located [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Maxis\The Sims] especially "SIMS_DATA" "InstallPath".
You'll have to ask other simmers who are familiar with the program, since I don't know what is the specific key SimEnhancer is looking for to dermine your data location.

Ok it seems that it can corrupt saves with Legacy Edition:
