cc folders question

so i have some troubles to make some cc show up in game
& what i noticed is that some depth of subfolders might have something to do with it
the same cc does work in game if i put it nearer the direct Download folder

in TS3 i can tell the game in the Ressource.cfg how deep it has to look for cc
is there any way to do that in TS2 too ?

I don't know if you'll have an answer to my question as it regards CC, but I was hoping you might have a solution as I have already tried everything else.

Some of my custom content is not showing up in CAS. Specifically male hair. The hair that I have previously downloaded works and all female hair works, just not new male hair. I know it's not because of the creator because of all of the male hair mods (including the ones that work) are from the same two creators. I also know it is not a resource.cfg issue as I have already checked that it is at the latest patch and my folders are not deep anyway. I also know it's not a compatibility issue because I took out all of my hair mods (leaving just the new ones) and the new mods still did not work.

I'm really in the dark here, and I completely understand if you can't help me, but I thought I would try to ask you anyway. Thanks!

I would go back to where you downloaded them, and see if you need a separate mesh. Also make sure they are for sims 2, downloading for a different version of the game is easier then you think! :D

Make sure when you install cc you see the file called Mesh included. But some creators make the mistake (sometimes) of naming their meshes the same thing...that can also be a problem. Make sure you have the last CEP installed.
