I'm trying to install Sims 2: The legacy pack and it is stuck on 2% "preparing". I had this same issue earlier this year when trying to re-download Sims 4 on my new laptop, but I did the steps EA suggested, clearing the cache, running it as admin etc, and that worked. But today, those steps are not working for sims 2: legacy.
Same happening to mine , haven’t been able to play sims 4 or anything for over 2 weeks
It's driving me crazy! It took me forever to get Ts4 installed but none of the steps I did are working for ts2. :(

I'm having the same issues. I have done what they said several times but yet still stuck at 2% preparing. I don't know what else I can do it's very frustrating.
Any update? I haven't been able to redownload it since the update. I though it was my laptop but maybe not.
caittyfoxx69 xSimLuxe No updates unfortunately. I gave up on Ts2 and today it's happening with the TS4's newest (feb 2025) update. Super annoying. I guess I'm just going to keep trying resetting the cache and such until it works.
My sims 4 is stuck at installing 2% every time yall update the sims 4 something is wrong with it please leave it alone or pay us back this is crazy
Try a different internet network. For example, switching to my phone hotspot worked. It got past 3% then I switched back to my main internet connection and it worked.
