So I got TS2 downloaded last night and went to play. I made a sim and her dog and when loading into the house both her dog and her were in the family picture but when the lot loaded, the dog was gone. I remade the household since the family isn't even in the bin and tried again, same issue. I just accept that it's going to not let me play with the dog, so I play and everything is going alright, it's getting late so I save and turn off the game and go to bed. I should mention as well that while playing my sim ended up marrying, so now it was the original sim, her husband, and an adopted dog (not the one I originally made to play with, since it's still gone). Fast forward to today and I go to play and it's just the husband and the dog when I hover over the house but I click it and my original sim is in the family portrait but when it loads in she's gone. I quit, restart (without saving) and now she's not even appearing in the family portrait. So not only had her dog disappeared in the game, but so did my sim??? Has anyone else had this problem? I uninstalled and am currently reinstalling my game hoping that it will work, but I did want to see if anyone else was having this issue. [edited title for clarity] - mate54

the same happened to me today twice, i got so angry i started a refund on the game. :( while going to the store my game froze so i closed the game and restarted. load into the family (a woman and a dog) and they both in the portrait but when i load the game only the dog is there, the sim is nowhere to be found. tried to fix it uninstall and install the game again, do the family and the whole house again (this took hours) going to another lot and an error text appears on my game, that the sim package is broken or smtg and the only option is is to delete the object which is basically my sim. No cc no nothing in the game since i just downloaded it today.

I’m sharing this on behalf of a friend, as their EA Forum webpage isn’t loading for some reason. they’ve had this happen for two separate families. One was a toddler, one was a child. They would appear in the family portrait but are not on the lot when they load in

This happened to me as well. I made myself and my boyfriend, plus our cat. When I moved the family into an apartment, our cat vanished. I had to re-create her and move her back in.

I haven't even been able to make the dog and add him back. It added some random alien and then once more the dog disappeared from the family again.

i had the same issue today, one of my sims got completely deleted from household but his picture still appears when i click on household, but when i load in live mode then the sim is gone completely. not in any ones friends list -just gone :(

Every dog I get...disappears! lmao Go to pet shop, buy new dog, annnd he's gone by the time my sim gets home. I guess they jump out the window somewhere 🤣

for me as well. toddlers disappear right after placing the fam on the lot, in another family the woman got missing after a game crash… decided to uninstall ts2 legacy edition since without fixes its unplayable for me

Yes I tried to start 2 legacies the last 2 days and both of them end up triggering an error at some point (I think both times was when a sim was returning from a community lot) and the children are usually missing. It's like there's a witch living in the woods lololol The first family had a child kidnapped and now this one just had a newborn taken away. If I'm able to avoid the error and keep playing this family the witch in the woods is gonna be canon
