I recently purchased the sims 1 and 2 - 25th anniversary bundle and I've been trying to download the sims 2 but it's just stuck at 97% and says finalizing but won't actually finish and has been stuck this way for about 3 days. I tried running the EA App as an administrator, I tried clearing cache, I tried to cancel the download to try it again but it then gets stuck on canceling, and I even tried restarting my laptop. Is anyone else having this problem or knows how I fix it?
I'm having this problem, too except with the Sims4. I bought the Sims2 Legacy today since the other game won't stop but now the issue is the Sims2 won't show, even though they successfully charged me. I suggest you don't buy anything else and get in my situation. Have you tried closing and restarting the EA app, itself? If you go to the three lines at the top left corner of the EA window you can reach the drop down menu to select Help > Restart App. You'd think it would close the app when you restart your computer but it doesn't seem to. That finally worked for me to have the game stop trying to load...
