Borderless should be an option and not default. Is anybody testing this? We have thousands of threads documenting The Sims 2 spanning two decades. A layman could tell you that borderless windowed mode breaks edge scrolling, we knew this 20 years ago.

I am so mad over this. I am in the middle of a legacy family in the sims 2 and now it's unplayable. I was hoping to play since it's the weekend. Thanks EA from ruining my weekend.

Indeed, when you switch to windowed mode, other resolutions become available, but refresh framerate is still unavailable, which forces me to play with a lower graphics quality (even if all graphic settings are high) than before the update.
I've been looking for a solution since the update, without success. But the obvious fact is this : borderless windowed mode prevents the screen from refreshing properly, which alters the graphic quality by a blurring effect, and prevents scrolling on the edges as well.
The solution is simple : EA please give us back full-screen mode. - nenz__991 year agoSeasoned Newcomer

Yeah same here. Really sucks. Hope they do an emergency fix for this tbh.
I was really hopeful for the patch update to fix the constant crashing, and now theres this edge scrolling problem… sigh.

Yup- really impacting gameplay. And I had no issues before this update either.

I also can't play anymore due to the lack of edge scrolling. I am not playing again till its fixed as video games are meant to be about relaxation, not FRUSTRATION! 😡🤬😡🤬😡
I had made a family and sent them on vacation...so much for that.
It is BEYOND irritating and I don't have the time or the patience for arrow keys - so much for getting to play my favorite sims game again for the first time since 2012. 😒 😢

I found out that I can move the camera (on the neighborhood map and on the lots) with the w-a-s-d-keys. It's annoyingly slow to move the camera that way, but at least I can still play that way.
