Everything is still too small ever since Patch 6
The title basically says it all.
Ever since Patch 6 came out on March 14, the loading screens and UI in the game have been far too small for any human to comfortably look at or read. Every "solution" that has been suggested does not work.
On March 14, when Patch 6 first came out, the solution was to press ALT+Enter and go into windowed mode. That objectively does not work. Even if it did, we shouldn't be forced to play in windowed mode just because the team behind this doesn't have it together.
Three weeks later on April 4 when Patch 7 came out, the solution was to use the “uintProp uiScaleFactor” cheat code. This factually does not work for people on 1080p resolution, which is the most common and default resolution for most mainstream laptops. Even if it did, we shouldn't have to use a cheat code in order to play a computer game. In addition, we should not have to mess with the settings and files on our computers just to play a game that is literally over 20 years old.
Between the game's launch date on January 31 and the release of Patch 6 on March 14, the game worked fine. I'm sure there were bugs for some people, but nothing as major or widespread as this. Patch 8 was just released on April 10 and there is still no effective solution for this issue. There have been so many people posting about this ever since Patch 6 and I don't plan on counting every single one. We have already paid for this game, therefore we should not be required to do EA's work for them by trying to make the game work ourselves. We have done nothing wrong.
All we are asking for is to be able to play the game as it was originally meant to be played. That is what we paid for. It is not too much to ask.
