I have the same problem - I used to have the "Direct3D returned an error: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL! The application will now end." error, but now that the most recent patch released, I am now getting a more generic error "The application has crashed. The application will now terminate." It always happens when I try to load a family. It is unplayable. Photo attached
