Hammer Tool Bug
Recently, while playing The Sims 2 Legacy Collection, I encountered an intermittent bug where the hammer tool fails to delete certain objects. Unfortunately, while playing with the Pleasant Family, I tried to renovate the house but couldn't delete the staircase at the back with the hammer tool. I had to exit to the family core to remove the staircase without any issues.
Screenshot from the video showing the hammer tool failing to delete the selected object.As shown in the attached video, I repeatedly attempted to delete the staircase, and only the Simoleon value was added to the family funds, but the object remained intact. This problem also occurs when trying to delete other objects.
This bug is significantly affecting gameplay, and it would require EA to investigate the problem to find a solution.

Hopefully this will get fixed, but at the moment the only way to get rid of these stairs is by forcing an error on them.
EDIT: This bug has been fixed in the latest patch.
