I think I'm missing a lot of things from the Sims 2 Legacy Edition

Question

So I ended up buying the Sims 2 Legacy Edition when it was released and was really excited when I saw everything it had included. I really wanted to play in the city neighborhood, but when I launched it, there was only 6 neighborhoods available. I brushed it off and just continued to play. Now I realize that I think half of the things is missing. I also noticed that I cant look at the game description when in the EA app. It only gives me the option to view it in the library. I can do it with the Sims 4, but not with the Sim 2. It is also called The Sims 2 + The Sims 2 Packs but not legacy edition.

I have no clue how to fix any of this and anytime I try to see if anyone else has had my same issue, it just tells me that the only missing pack from the Sim 2 Legacy Edition is the IKEA pack. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it a lot .

I'm not sure why in the EA App they chose to have it say The Sims 2 + The Sims 2 Packs instead of Sims 2 Legacy, but they did. It's like that for everyone. I would guess there's no further information or description when you click on it because they didn't bother to make that. Probably figured with a 21 year old game that it didn't matter.

There are only 6 neighborhoods in Sims 2 when you start. If you scroll all the way to the right you have the option to generate your own custom one. Everything else is a sub-neighborhood (subhood) or a suburb (secret lot) of whichever neighborhood you are playing.

In neighborhood map view there is a bar at the top that allows you to add subhoods, then those will appear in the neighborhood folder for the neighborhood you are in. You can generate a Downtown, which is the city hood, or a shopping hood (the game calls it a shopping district), vacation and university hoods. As you do things like befriend and become a witch or gain enough enthusiasm in a hobby or find lots via maps you dig up in vacation hoods etc. you unlock secret lots (which generate suburb files in your neighborhood files).

Besides IKEA, what do you think is missing from your game?
