I do everything else on my Mac, but have always had to have a Windows machine or a Windows partition to play Sims 2. I've always wished I could play it natively on my Mac. Technically you can if you get the Super Collection (assuming it's still available). But it doesn't have all the packs because Aspyr never finished porting Sims 2 over for Mac. I've always wondered why. Did the relationship between EA and Aspyr sour for some reason? Even if you go that route, it has no support (like Ultimate Collection) so you are on your own, even more than with Legacy, if issues crop up.
Sadly, it's unlikely they will ever allow someone to finish it or do it themselves. A girl can dream though. I mean, I never thought they'd update and sell Sims 1 and 2 either, especially after giving Sims 2 away for free. And yet, they did.
