CC not showing up in Cas
I have the Sims 2 (on Mac and the DVD version) and cc isn't showing up in cas. I've installed several cc hairs and clothes and non of them appear in game. I've also tryed installing cep but that hasn't done anything (there is no indication it is even there). CC shows up in build/buy modes but not cas for some reason and I know it isn't a mod conflict.30Views0likes2CommentsCheats aren't working in Sims 2 Mac DVD version
I recently purchased the Sims 2 for Mac on DVD since the App Store version doesn't support my OS. I'm on Mac OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks. Whenever I play the game most things work except for cheats. The only cheat that works is boolprop testingcheatsenabled true. Simple cheats like "motherload" don't work and nor do any build mode cheats. Also whenever I try to add mods the game doesn't load at all. Are there any updates for the Mac DVD version that are available to download? I've tried everything to get cheats working. I also can't use "body shop" and "package installer" as they are power pc applications. I tried downloading an intel version off the internet but it required mac os x 10.12 or later. Is there a version of the extras that will work with 10.9?59Views0likes3CommentsIs it possible to switch from PC to Mac with Sims 2 Legacy Edition?
I have bought the Sims 2 Legacy Edition while I was using a PC but recently I have switched to a Mac and no long have a PC around. In the EA App it says the game is only for Windows, is there a way I can switch that from Windows to Mac? How can I download it to Mac?55Views1like1CommentSims 2 Legacy Collection, The Sims Stories Content?
So it's no mystery that the Sims 2 Legacy Collection had a rocky launch, there are bugs and glitches and the game is still being patched because of it. We all know this and this is the exact reason why some people in the Sims 2 community are still recommending pirating the The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection. Now I don't have an opinion on that matter, but with that being said, EA still has all game code for the The Sims Life Stories, The Sims Pet Stories, and The Sims Castaway Stories which were all built on the same Sims 2 Engine that the Sims 2 is built on, just cut down for Laptops. I would pay a good 40 dollars, the original cost of each of the The Sims Stories games, if all of the unique content was ripped from those games and released as a special Expansion for the Sims 2 Legacy Collection. Modders have already converted some of this content to work in the Sims 2 so it's entirely possible and frankly I don't think anyone would mind if EA excluded the Families, Houses, and Neighborhoods cause those have a lot of complicated coding attached to them, but the possibly hundreds of unique Hair, Clothing, Buy Mode Objects, Build Mode Objects, Neighborhood Objects, Special Animations, Exclusive Pet Breeds from Pet Stories, the special Dark Skin Tone from Castaway Stories that's darker than the darkest skin tone in Sims 2, and more I'm sure... all of this stuff would literally make Sims 2 Legacy Collection way more desirable instead of pirating an older collections of Sims 2... So please, EA, just consider putting a small team together to convert all this content to the Sims 2 and it would make a ton of fans happy.92Views0likes0CommentsThe Sims 2 Legacy Collection UI flickering
I play The Sims 2 Legacy Collection via Parallels Desktop on an M4 Pro MacBook Pro, the UI randomly starts flickering rapidly every now and then. This does not happen on my x86 based Windows desktop with the exact same TS2 set up. I am fully aware that The Sims 2 Legacy Collection is not natively supported on ARM or Mac currently, but it would be nice for a solution to the problem. I have attached a DxDiag file below for extra information regarding my PC. I haven't experienced any other issues with the game.55Views0likes0Comments
