Force Max FPS to 60?
I've noticed when I have the camera locked to a sim as they move around it's very jittery compared to how smooth it used to be. I checked the in-game FPS and it's all over the place mostly in the 200s. I attempted to fix this within Nvidia Control Panel and setting Max Frame Rate to 60, but the game is not enforcing this. Also the Refresh Rate box in-game is empty and the game is stuck in borderless windowed. Even if I alt enter it then goes to regular windowed mode, but Refresh Rate is still empty. Is there anyway to force the Max Frame Rate?37Views0likes4CommentsError with Neighborhood Stories
I noticed The Belladonna Cove only generates 6 pages in Legacy Collection: Belladonna Cove should have 12 pages as per the Disc/Ultimate version: Furthermore, the Riverblossom Hills Neighborhood Story is broken in the Legacy Collection: Appreciate it if we could fix this issue. Have a nice day! :)239Views2likes5CommentsSims 2 Castaway

Hello everyone, I'm completely captivated by The Sims 2, which seems to be the only game in the series that offers total creative freedom. I create my own maps (using SimCity 4), arranging the roads however I want, then placing lots, houses, and buildings as I please, without any limits. You can even control the seasons to create different climates (for example, a city with snow all year round), you can build 15-story buildings, and so on. This game is incredibly rich (and I'm not just saying that to advertise 😄). The possibilities for creation and expansion seem endless, especially since the Sims 2 Legacy remaster, where I find the loading times much faster than before. So, my question is: how far can the game go in terms of capabilities? How many buildings can you build in a neighborhood before the game crashes (or slows down significantly)? Does the amount of RAM on a PC really impact the game's performance? Faced with these questions, I'm trying to embark on a large-scale project: creating a megalopolis, the biggest one possible. I've created a map with many narrow roads to fit as many buildings as possible. I've already created about twenty 10-story apartment buildings, which I'll then duplicate to create the largest city I can. I'm also using some "decorative buildings" to give the city a very modern look. So far, with my twenty or so buildings, everything is running smoothly; I haven't experienced any noticeable slowdowns. But to best achieve my goal, I have a question: I currently own two PCs: one with 16 GB of RAM, and the other with 32 GB of RAM. For now, I've installed The Sims 2 Legacy (via Steam) on my computer with 16 GB of RAM. But I'm hesitant to reinstall it on my 32GB PC. Will upgrading from 16GB to 32GB of RAM improve the game's performance for building a large city? I've already looked for answers on forums, and I have to say the opinions seem divided. Some say a powerful PC will improve the gaming experience, while others say that The Sims 2 Legacy has its own internal limit (which is much lower), so upgrading from 16GB to 32GB of RAM won't make a difference. What's your opinion on this? To build the largest possible megalopolis, is it worthwhile installing the game on a PC with 32GB of RAM, or is it pointless? Has anyone tried building a huge city this way in the Sims 2 Legacy, on a gaming PC? What was the result? Were you able to achieve a satisfactory result, or did the game crash quickly? Do you have any tips to share on how to achieve this? Thank you so much! Have a wonderful evening everyone! 🙂 (I sorry, English is not my native language. I initially placed this message in the French forum, but the French side is not active... so I'm trying to post it here also. Thank you so much!)189Views2likes8CommentsThe Sims 2 and Sims 3 EA Activation Error
EA employees failed to help me. They asked me to post here. PLEASE HELP ME!!! I purchased sims 2 via 25th birthday bundle via EA and I had no problems until January 2026. 3 days ago, when I wanted to launch the game from EA app, I get the Sign in with your EA account to activate The Sims 2 error. Couldn't make the error window bigger so it is cut off. Sims 2 game logs say Problem encountered obtaining license. Server code 400, OS error code 0: I am using EA and Sims on Windows 11 on Parallels Desktop via Macbook. I have the same issue in Sims 3 and probably will have it in Sims 1 as well. I don't know why it asks me to activate my EA account since I am already signed in to my EA account and trying to launch from my EA account. Help is much appreciated. Thanks.126Views0likes2Comments
