The sims 2 Legacy Resoultion fix
I did a thread a couple of weeks ago about the tiny resoultion in the game. Now i have found a solution! (By the way this was found on another thread in a comment if you know who it is thank them not me lol im just sharing it round) So you change ur computers resoultion however u do that on ur own one to (in mine) 1600x900 and when u do this put the game on windowed mode by pressing alt+enter. Then u can press them again to put it back. I know it is not ideal but at least we have a solution until EA fix it. I don't know about the edge scrolling but at least one thing is fixable.
Sims 2!!!
After playing much Sims 4 and uploading tons of builds to the gallery I'm not attempting Sims 2 building, I missed much of Sims 2 growing up so it's really lovely to get into and see what I missed, the building is a whole world different to Sims 4 but slowly getting the hang of it whilst constructing a 4 bed house with 2 bathrooms and ensuites, many more updates to follow :)
Patch 6 SUCKS: No Edge scrolling and no typing
I fing it unbelievable that it has been a month and EA has not been able to solve this or either give us a answer. I do not know in the first place why did they release this patch, since everything was working fine with patch 5. But then the logic thing to do is reverse the game to patch 5, I do not think they are that stupid to not save the different patches they release. I would reverse the game and let the millions of affected users pay and then, try to figure out what happened with patch 6. But it has been almost a month and they have not done anything about it.
The Sims 2 when visiting a community lot the FPS drops a lot and crashes
When we visit a community lot, for example a nightclub, the game stutters and the fps drops a lot from 144 to 30 and 1, making the experience of playing outside the home very bad because the game lags a lot. was not fixed in this March 14, 2025 update
Sims 2 Patch Notes Grief
It has been a week since Sims 2 patch notes 6 was implemented, and the game has barely been playable since then. With no way to change the ratio size or enable edge scrolling, I have not been able to have an enjoyable gaming experience. I do not know what the purpose of the patch notes is, but the game was decently playable before then and EA should attempt to remedy this or to get rid of the patch notes entirely. Please, those who want the patch notes gone as well, keep posting your annoyances on the forum page and, hopefully, EA will respond with an update.
Please include content from Sims 2 Store + Preorder items
I don't think any of the official Maxis content from the defunct Sims 2 store or the pre-order items from each Expansion Pack is available in this collection currently and I feel it should be, not just to have a more complete package but also because it'd make the absence of the IKEA pack hurt a bit less. I know this stuff can be found online but since it was official content I don't see why it couldn't be included by default. You already restored some music recently with patches so I think it could be done!
Sims 2 crashing suddenly after recent update
Before the most recent update, my Sims 2 game never crashed. However, after updating on 2/28/25, the game crashes after only 20 minutes of playing. Additionally, no error messages or warnings pop up before the crash, it is always sudden after loading into the household. I have no CC or cheats enabled, so I do not know why I am experiencing this and I am not sure what to do now. Any help would be appreciated!
