Bumping this as I’d like some more people to comment if they’ve had this issue.
I had the same issue because my toddler/child got stuck on their mother after the birthday cake animation and I didn't save. But it resolved itself after I brought the toddler to a birthday cake again. Looked completely normal again after that.
