    UPDATE: 

    i have managed to fix the bugs but had to completely delete all my sims files and re install everything! No bugs so far though and I can finally play the game properly!!

My game is fine. No bugs at all. So this sort of thing baffles me. How does one person's game work perfectly and another's not work at all? Did you try replacing the neighborhoods with fresh ones after the updates? Delete all the cache and thumbnails?
