Patch 4 problems

I've experienced the same issues after the update, screen too tiny with the display options to change this greyed out in settings, and edge scrolling not working despite being turned on.

I play on a laptop and I have poor eyesight, I can't see anything! I hope they fix it... I'm scared the update was made so the game resolution is better on big PCs so they consider this patch to be a fix but for me it is unplayable anymore... And I am literally ADDICTED to The Sims 2. Ever since it came out I haven't played The Sims 4 even once 😭

My edge scrolling isn't working either after update.

For the UI scaling, can you ALT+Enter to switch to windowed mode and maximize? If so, that should resolve the issue.

In the borderless windowed mode it is possible that the old resolution is interfering with the new changes, you can delete the config folder (\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy\Config) and let the game generate a new one as well. 

The graying out of resolution options is by design if you're in borderless windowed or in maximized windowed since Windows settings will override the game's settings. 

Indeed, in windowed mode, screen resolutions are accessible, but this doesn't resolve the screen refresh rate issue, which remains inaccessible. Similarly, the edge scrolling issue remains unresolved.

I am gutted as I only just started playing, payed more than I should just to be unable to play after the update!! Sooooo upset, and nothing seems to work. Do we get our money back as the game is now no longer accessible?

Hi i have changed it however system says that I am unauthorised to make any changes as the files do not belong to me.

I have the same problems. I cant even read the needs of the Sims. All words are very tiny. Also the problem with the scroll is huge. Lets hope that they will fix it. In every update we have problems......

Hi! Thanks for replying. I deleted the config folder but the issue still remains. I took screenshots of the way my UI looks like at the moment. It used to be twice this size.

To be honest -- everything was "closer" before this patch (including loading screens) and I am aware that some users probably complained about it but on laptops it was better that way. We should at least be able to choose some sort of "laptop mode"...

I really didn't mind my UI taking most of the screen space and nothing I do brings it back. Yes, I deleted config folder. I tried to change resolution settings in windowed mode as well. 

I have the same problem as well. No edge scrolling and I need it to play the game.
