Hi, I'm having a issue that the screen resolution is greyed out and i cant change it anymore.... after patch 6 it really made things so much worse. i had no issues with the game til this patch 6 crap came out

I'm experiencing the same problem! After the latest patch, I can no longer change the game's resolution.
This is very frustrating!!! instead of improving the game, it's only getting worse. 😭😞
I have a workaround for the issue (this doesn’t fix the problem), but if you switch the game to windowed mode, the video settings work correctly.
If you access the game in fullscreen mode, you can’t change the resolution, but in windowed mode, you can.
In case you don’t know how to put The Sims 2 in windowed mode, I’ll guide you: On the game shortcut, go to "Properties" and select the "Shortcuts" tab. In the "Target" field, at the end of the path where the executable is located, add " -w" (without the quotation marks).
In my opinion, windowed mode in The Sims 2 works much better than fullscreen.
I hope EA fixes this issue soon.
