When my sim plops down food on the table, they just reset and won't be able to eat the food.

My sim was resetting every time they used the stove so I sold the stove and replaced it and it fixed the bug
I'm have the same issue, but it'd have a pop up with an "error," with the option to reset or delete, It was not letting my poor sim eat. I came across this post and tired what you did, but I sold: the stove, fridge, table and chairs. My sim is now happily eating cereal before school. I'd say this is one type of solution because I wouldn't doubt this is multiple different types of bugs/glitches.
