Sims 2 disappearing food and not getting money after sim comes from work

So as in the title, my sim prepares food for a couple of people/ or for one and when he is about to put it on table/ counter the food disappears and the sim resets, also my sim comes from work and displays a message with the amount of money he should get but the amount is not added to the family funds no matter if he goes tommorrow or the day after
