I've had a huge problem with crashing since the last update, and I think I found the issue. After testing, I identified that giving a Sim the Eureka aspiration benefit causes an immediate crash when they start learning a skill. Keeping them away from learning any skills or just simply preventing them from getting the Eureka skill boost makes the game run normally.
namedisplay01 I have done a quick test in my game with both Mortimer and Cassandra Goth (gave her the Eureka benefit through Secondary Aspiration) and both were able to normally earn skills. Does this happen when you test it out in a brand new Sims 2 user folder?
mate54 I tried with a clean folder, it seems it works like that. I think my lot was corrupted, either that or the world itself. The problem appeared after being stuck in a loading screen when on a vacation. I managed to bring them back by deleting the vacation hood, and I think that may have caused the issue. Moving them out of the house and back in makes the issue go away.
