Unable to download/install The Sims Legacy & The Sims 2 Legacy

Question

Purchased 25th anniversary bundle, and when trying to install The Sims Legacy & The Sims 2 Legacy games, I am receiving an error message (shown in screenshot):

"Error: The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. (1618)"

Hitting OK will trigger the installation to restart and eventually just loops back to this same error message.

I'm having this exact same issue. All the files are showing as installed on my C drive but I can't actually run them because the installation didn't complete the last few percent; it came up with this error message.&nbsp;
