Sims 2 Legacy : 'Application has crashed, application will now terminate.'

Mine is crashing at about 30 minutes gameplay without fail 

I'm also having this issue. Crashes upon arriving home from work in carpool. My sim is level 5 in the Architecture career, so he's gone to work many times. Just randomly started. It's very disappointing.

I have this issue randomly after some minutes of play. Yesterday I managed to play for a couple of hours with no issues, but now it just crashed after selecting a family to play with. 

Yep same - having to get into the habit of saving every few mins otherwise I lose loads of progress. So irritating.

Same issue! Mine only occurs when I have a pet in a career and they get a promotion. Once the pet comes home from work, the game crashes instantly. :/

mine is completely unplayable...the game loads then i try to go into my household, it loads then crashes EVERYTIME

Same issue here too… 😢 cat comes back from work while being promoted and everything just crashes 😭 was soooo excited about playing both of the Legacy collections but nor of them are working 😩

yep...i just bought the game earlier and was able to make a family and play for a little bit. when i went to launch the game again some time later, i saw the ea logo but when the sims 2 logo popped up, the game instantly crashed and showed that same exact message. i tried to launch it again and again but the same thing kept happening....

Same here - but mine has been doing it sporadically, and now its whenever someone returns home from work. So currently I am stuck in the same 3pm-4pm hour because it was last saved at 3pm sims time and crashes at exactly 4.04pm when one of them comes home. I was able to move them out and move them back in (had to set everything up again urgh) but then 4.04pm rolls around and "Application has crashed". Anyone any closer to solving this?
