Sims 2 Legacy Edition File currupted

Posted on a similar thread because I also had this issue and tried reinstalling and changing some properties, but in the end I binned off my EA version and asked for a refund, and downloaded via Steam instead and it works. I think there could a problem with the EA installer, would be interested to know if anyone had this issue with Steam.

That's interesting, have you got any antivirus? I put an exclusion in place because sometimes it flags game installers.

I just got a refund from and downloaded on steam. Now i have the issue were its say 'application has crashed, application will now terminate'. I don't have the best computer but I don't have these issues with Sims 3 or 4

I refunded through EA and downloaded from steam last night. And SO FAR have not had any issues apart from random crashing. But I make sure to save regularly
