romosim christiegreville SuzanaRose You can try setting the game to run in Windowed mode by default; in EA App, click on the three dots on the Sims 2 icon, click on View Properties and add "-w" (without quotation marks) to the Advanced Launch Options field, then save. That should prevent the game from launching in Borderless, and hopefully preserve the resolution you select. The downside of this is that the game window may not cover the entire screen.
Alternatively, you can change your screen resolution in system settings, to make the game adapt to your selection when you switch to Borderless, but it will affect your entire system unless you keep switching only when you play.
Unfortunately, Fullscreen mode seems to be gone and has been replaced by the Borderless mode.
