This is due to the change called out in the patch notes here:
- The Sims 2 now uses a borderless window to provide the fullscreen experience
In order to change resolution now, you'll need to press ALT+Enter to go into Windowed mode, then the resolutions shown in your screenshots will not be grayed out anymore.
Well it's done nothing to fix the issue and its ruined my game. It was working fine before the update for me when I could just change the resolution in the games settings. Now it's reverted to a resolution where the UI is way too tiny and I can't even fix or change that unless I put it in stupid window mode. And that doesn't fix the issue either because it's the UI size that's the issue. I certainly shouldnt have to change my laptop's resolution settings every time I play the game and then change it back when I quit the game. Not to mention, this update has brought new issues to my game when it was running fine beforehand. I'm sick of it. Does EA even know what they're doing? Because this is what, patch 6 now? And its still not fixed. What part of, fix the UI size do they not understand?
I fully agree with everything said above plus, the game will not scroll side to side. Just bought it, was enjoying it, not now. Will you EA, Please fix these issues? SOON! Thanks.
