Sims 2 not launching

yup haven't been able to open it at all today, it wont launch have tried downloading a new version of EA APP didn't fix it, tried repairing game , didn't fix it. No idea what they have done since yesterday.

Woww , I really hope they fix this issue this is ridiculous 

FINALLY got it to work! 

I shut down my computer then went to EA app, top left corner you'll see three little bars and put it into offline mode. 

Opened TASK MANAGER and shut down all EA programs. 

Once in offline mode in EA, turned off my WiFi snd reopened EA APP then hit the little blue play button in EA app ( in offline mode).

I been trying all day this fix and kept getting a error but soon as I shutdown my pc , it loaded up in offline mode. 

Hopefully they fix this soon. This is crazy!!!
