SIMS 2 STILL LEGACY WON'T OPEN SINCE PATCH (ITS BEEN 2 MONTHS)

Every time I try to open the game in the EA APP nothing happens. I press play, the EA APP closes (as usual), but then the game doesn't load and then I'm brought back into the EA APP. I don't get a pop-up or error message or anything. This also happens with the Sims 1 legacy but not the Sims 4. I tried repairing the game and even just reinstalling it nothing changed. I also don't have mods. This all started happening after the March 14 Patch

UPDATE: I haven't been able to launch the game since March 14 and I'm not sure what to do there aren't any solutions online. I know other people have this issue too but there seems to be no fix. I even waited for more updates, still no fix.

Have you tried launching in windowed mode?

Right Click on the TS2 shortcut, go to Properties, make sure the Shortcut tab is open, then add -w to the very end of the target field.

  • Have you tried deleting your groups and accessory cache files? They're found in the Document folders. Same place you'd find your "Neighbourhood" and "Download" folders

The cache files are all empty. I deleted and then reinstalled the entire game. Nothing changed.
