Sims "reset" after completing certain actions

I've started two separate games now. They both work perfectly at first. Then after a while they "reset" right after completing two actions which are (1) cooking a meal on the stove and (2) greeting sims off their home lot. They essentially complete the action, but right before the action finishes they "reset" making it so the action never happened. The food they cooked is gone, and the sim they greeted isn't added to their relationships.

I attempted to fix this problem by completely deleting the game from my computer. I deleted all my save data as well. I recreated a new family, but the same issue started again after a while.

I really want to play the sims 2, I would love to know if anyone knows a fix for these two bugs.

I have the same issue with both the cooking and interacting with sims off the home lot. It's very strange and annoying.

If any errors show up, please add your Logs folder from Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Legacy\ into a ZIP file and attach to your reply here.

Hi, I have the same problem. I play on a Clean Pleasantview Template if that matters. Here's the Object Error I've got after greeting Don Lothario with Daniel Pleasant on a community lot. Could you help me?
