Sims2 Still No Working...

Before the update on the Sims1 and Sims2...I would run Sims2, get to world select, select strangetown, it would load, click on my household, which is on the apartment premade by the game trailer lot, it would load into the lot then it crashes. I get the message "The application has crashed. The application will now terminate." I do not get why its crashing...the day I bought The Sims2 I played it literally all day, from like 3:00pm till 3:00am, did fine until 3:00am and crashed and now I can't play it at all. I saw the update and was soo excited, yesss maybe I can play it now and it won't crash. NOPE....
