Did you catch the edit I made a few minutes after I replied:
-
Disable apps that come with overlays: Discord, Steam, etc.
-
Disable the Ea app in-game overlay (Settings > Application)
-
Disable Game Mode and Game Bar (Windows Settings > Gaming)

Answer is no for all of these suggestions. Nothing solves my issue.

Have you tried a clean boot as well? Also, are you using a standard QWERTY keyboard layout or do you have any custom keyboard mapping you've set up?

I'm using a standard QWERTY keyboard layout and I just did a clean boot and followed the exact instruction in the link you provided but it made no difference. I still can't type anything, just copy and paste

MBaturina10 As a test, could you try unplugging your Strafe keyboard before launching The Sims 2, then seeing if this issue still occurs using the Windows On-Screen Keyboard?
