The Sims 2 Legacy Collection - Kids disappear after restart + other problems

Same thing happened to me today. I’ve been playing all day and then my sim got stuck in the car entering back into the house lot. I had to restart the game but when loading up my kid is gone. He was in the household photo but not in game. Restarted my game again and now he’s not showing up in the household photo at all but the memories of him are still in game as subject. I have read other threads and people are saying that means his file has likely been deleted. Big bummer as I really liked the kid. Will not be playing the Sims 2 until they fix this as it’s a MAJOR bug. 

This happened to me too, I was so invested, I’m really upset. At least I’m not alone, I guess.

My unborn baby Broke, was born and became a toddler and was living life and I took my sims shopping and left him with a nanny and he turned into some random teen. So upset.

I have a similar problem. Tried making a family with two adults, one child, and one toddler, and as soon as I moved them into a lot, the child and toddler vanished. Same thing happened to my boyfriend when he tried playing it the other night. Things run smoothly for me otherwise, but there is no way to play children or toddlers because they just vanish when I load the lot. Hopefully this is resolved soon 🙏

And pets are the same way if they are made in CAS with a family. Pets will load if they enter the lot or if it’s like the spectral cat from a witch sim, but otherwise, trying to make them with a family will cause them to simply vanish when I load the lot, same deal with children and toddlers. 

I have the same problem... second time now.. had finally my family back grom stuck on vacation and now i lost the Children. My sim went to a other lot and when i want to go back the game got stuck. After reload the game  the children where still on the loading screen. But not in my family anymore after loading.
