The Sims 2: Legacy Collection - New Beach Lots Have Incorrect Terrain Paint

Newly created beach lots have incorrect terrain paint

I don't use any mods or CC in my game

  • The latest update appears to have fixed this.

    • Beach lots could sometimes have incorrect terrain paint

Any new beach lots should not have this issue; for existing lots you can try using terrain paint on incorrectly looking areas to see if that fixes them. Both the striped-looking grass and rotated terrain appear to be fixed.

If this issue still appears in your game on brand new lots placed after the patch, please start a new thread.

  • Newly create Beach Lot generated the sand terrain texture wrong and it just strips of multiple lines.

I have that issue as well. I even got the updated version on Steam. Oddly, it's in multiple of lines which unsure if it from the patch or me running it on Linux with Proton. I did even tested Ultimate Collection version on Linux via Lutris and hadn't have that bug.

Same Issue. Even if I paint it over with new terrain, it will morph back. And the shoreline will alway stay on that spot and can't be painted over.

  • This bug still isn’t patched yet sadly, and It’s reproducible every time.

  • OhMyAdultStuff PixelGuy64 I have been able to reproduce both of these while testing the crashing issue on beach lots. The OP's photo shows a beach lot with an incorrectly rotated texture; the lot's terrain seems to be rotated 90° instead of having the wave texture align with the wave effect.

I have also seen the issue with lines on the lot on steep beach lots (which also crash often for me) which can be reproduced by placing a beach lot in Bluewater Village terrain.

mate54I think it happend after the first patch. Before I had placed a normal looking beach lot. After the patch the lots started looking like that.
