the sims 2 legacy collection: How to reset game to default

I want to reset the game to its original settings. Does anyone have any advice? I've tried deleting and reinstalling it, but the game is still the same. Please help!

Uninstall the game, find the EA Games > The Sims 2 Legacy folder and delete it (usually in Documents), then reinstall

Are you trying to reset the neighborhoods and the households? This page on The Sims wiki talks about resetting the game, where you just need to delete some folders:

Apparently there isn't an easy way, but there does seem to be a workaround, according to the wiki:

Are you using the game through Steam? If so, I had this problem and I managed to fix it by removing the files while the game was still installed. While on the game's Steam page in my library, I went to Manage > Properties > Installed Files > Browse... and deleted the "The Sims 2 Legacy Collection" Folder. I then uninstalled the game through my computer's program removal software. After reinstalling the game, The sims 2 reset to its default.

Unfortunately, If your issue is through the EA app,  I don't know how to resolve it.

    I hope this helps

I also came across another option that might work for you. If you go into Documents -> EA Games -> The Sims 2 Legacy and delete the Neighborhoods file the default Neighborhoods file will generate when you launch the game again.

Edit: Do this while the game is still installed.
