The Sims 2 not launching.

Question

I purchased only The Sims 2 and when I attempt to launch it, it says "Some needed files were corrupted during the installation. Please reinstall this application." I did that multiple times and its still giving me the same error. HELP!?

**Edit - it is The Sims 2 + The Sims 2 Packs that was released on the EA app for the 25th anniversary

I requested a refund bc I couldn't get it to work. I'm so disappointed in EA. I would think they would have made sure it would run smoothly when they launched this.&nbsp;
