The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection

@renato007rigin , There are ways to still play Sims 2. The game is still available on CD/DVD and you'll need an external disk drive if your computer doesn't have one. Those aren't very expensive and you can find one most any place. Copies of Sims 2 are still found on Amazon, E-Bay, local game shops that sell used games and local thrift stores. 

If you have an Apple computer, the Sims 2 Super Collection is available for sale on the Apple App Store. It contains everything ported to the Mac OS from Base Game to Bon Voyage and the Family Fun, Glamour Life and Happy Holidays Stuff Packs. Aspyr just recently patched the game to run 64 bit and to be compatible with the new M1 chips found in most new Apple laptops. 

@EA_Lanna While this is disappointing to hear, I guess that's the way it is right now. I really wish it could be brought back, especially since EA sees the passion the players have for the game.

I have to ask, though: Is there any chance (if it's even possible) that the game could be licensed to GOG (Good Old Games)? They already maintain SimCity 2000, SimCity 3000 (which is not available on Origin at all), and SimCity 4. Why not add The Sims 2 to the list (the game has a pretty active wishlist on their website, along with The Sims 1, that should tell something)? That way the game could still be available to players easily without EA developers having to maintain it.

Also, is it possible to get a thread approved in Other Sims Games category, that contains useful tools and mods that help with game compatibility (such as Graphics Rules Maker, 4GB Patch, bug fix mods, etc.)? Both The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 have such threads and this would make it much easier for players to get help with their games.

It is good that an EA representative states what have been stated in this section many times without a reference. Though I see no issue in players continuing asking for the game despite such a statement, and hope that such posts will not be treated condescendingly, by EA personnel or others. It is, appearantly, a very good game.

I hope you have read the whole thread and will give an answer to the poster asking for guides being posted in this section, just like in the other sims sections.

I just had a look at the thread listed in your above message @DonroaAkashu I couldn't see any question regarding guides in this part of the forum... would you mind giving me a direct link to what you're referencing so we can see if its something we can answer.

I think it is a very good suggestion, and needed, since the questions asked in this section of AHQ is often about the same issues, and there are solutions, but we are not allowed to link to them or to the forums where the posters can be helped.
