I don't remember any Ford cars in Sims 2, but there were definitely some in 3. I happen to have the store stuff still, but I agree that they should have added it in as part of the game for everyone. A lot of people had the Store Edition and lost everything when it went down. As for IKEA, it's possible to put it back in your game if you have UC. There's a GitHub thread about how to do it.

Haven't tried to install then yet, they're in sims2pack format but I'm sure there's a way to convert it to package files.
Anyway, it would certainly be nice if they were included within TS2 Legacy.
I’m not sure if it’s still available somewhere on the web, but there used to be a third party installer for Sims2Pack files called Sims2Pack Clean Installer.
Just looked and it appears to be on Modthesims website.
