♥♥ ~ SANDRAELLE'S SHOWCASE ~ ♥♥ New Build: Fallen Acres

 

Welcome to my Showcase Thread, and thanks for visiting!

A little bit about me: I'm not really a game player but I do LOVE to build and have been creating since Sims 2 came out. I mostly built for myself (back in the day), then started joining building contests and challenges in the old Sims 3 community forums, which then led to me becoming a member of the DNA request team and started creating for others for six years.  I have been participating in several world collaborations most recently and it's been a lot of fun.  I've learned a lot about building in these past 10-12 years and have improved quite a bit since those early days. I'm a stickler for details and aim for realistic interiors in my creations. Most of my builds contain store content, but are CC free and I always upgrade all the plumping/electronics.

    LITTLE BIT OF COUNTRY, 20x30 residential lot, 6/28/12

    Unfortunately, my studio became full and had exceeded the quota limit, so had to start deleting some of my studio items - this is one of them. :(

    OASIS SALON AND DAY SPA, 30x20 community lot, 7/20/12

    Unfortunately, my studio became full and had exceeded the quota limit, so had to start deleting some of my studio items - this is one of them. :(

    This build was created for Calmorezoo’s community lot competition. In addition to a complete hair salon (main floor), the day spa also offers multiple revitalizing services: massages, body wraps, facials, aromatherapy (2nd floor) and a hydrotherapy pool and hot tub, steam rooms, a yoga room and a juice bar (basement floor). The Oasis was decorated with luxury in mind with rich marbles and luxurious furnishings.

    Images had to be deleted (due to Photobucket), and haven't replaced them yet.

    BREWED AWAKENINGS COFFEE SHOP, 25x25 community lot, 7/27/12

    Unfortunately, my studio became full and had exceeded the quota limit, so had to start deleting some of my studio items - this is one of them. :(

    This was my 2nd entry in Calmorezoo’s community lot contest. Much to my surprise, this lot was featured on the Sims 3 website.

    Images had to be deleted (due to Photobucket), and haven't replaced them yet.

    THE PALO VERDE, 40x40 residential lot, 8/27/12

    This Spanish styled family home was entered in BryonyRae’s “Desert Home Build” competition. The challenge was to build a family home in a desert style to fit in with the new Lucky Palms neighborhood. It features 3 BDR, 3 full baths, a home office, a bonus room above the garage, 2 half baths (powder room on main level and half bath in bonus room), an outdoor kitchen, pool, hot tub, and a fenced off children’s play area.

    FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, 10x10 residential lot, 9/1/12

    Unfortunately, my studio became full and had exceeded the quota limit, so had to start deleting some of my studio items - this is one of them. :(

    This tiny modern bachelor pad was entered in Stikystuff’s “10x10 Lot” contest. The challenge was to build on a 10x10 lot with either a modern, beach, punk rock or gothic/medieval style. I chose the modern theme and decorated it in shades of grey. (Can you tell what books I’m currently reading?? Haha!) The 1st floor has an open living/dining/kitchen area and the 2nd floor has the one bedroom with walk-in closet and bathroom, and access to an outdoor patio. The laundry area is in the basement, along with a treadmill, computer desk, a bar, video games and lots of seating for you and your friends to watch movies.

    So many great lots! You are very creative! :) The designs and themes of your lots are varied and i can't pick out my favourite as they all look great! :)

    LITTLE LAVENDER LOVELY, 10x10 residential lot, 10/14/2012

    This Victorian was built for a building contest, and the challenge was to build on a 10x10 lot in any building style, but we could not use any store content and could only use a limited # of EP's/SP's. It was tough, let me tell you, as I tend to build better when I have no limitations. Anyways, this home only has 1 bedroom and 1 bath, but is quite functional and has a reading area, a computer nook, a balcony off the bedroom and a bbq and sitting area in the back. This house is most suitable for a single female sim, as it's decorated in various shades of purples and lavenders and is quite a bit on the feminine side. Don't know if this transfers, but all of the appliances and plumbing have been upgraded.
