Episode 12B of the Perfect Genetics Challenge is now on YouTube. This is a continuation of Episode 12A and Episode 11. All of these episodes cover my need to move all extra sims out of the Main Household in Lucky Palms and the problems encountered with attempting to move any sims to Vice City.
I wrote a long post about this a few days ago and as I was working on the final paragraph 'something happened' and it was gone. Never to be seen again. So I have to start again from scratch. In the meantime I had a few other things to do but I'm back at it now.
This episode picks up where Episode 12A ends. We go to Bobby and Raina's place. Bobby is Cindy's imaginary friend made real. He was moved to Mountain Lake with most of the rest of the children and imaginary friends made real from generation 1. Then the game seems to have created a girlfriend for him and I found out about her when I discovered he had a fiance and they had a toddler son. Whitney. At that time Mountain Lake seemed to be overpopulated so I moved them to Vice City where they had another son, Gareth. Now that Vice City is over populated I moved all of the households with babies, toddlers, children or teens to the new world of Alryne Valley. On arrival at their home we find Whitney aging up to teen.
Whitney ages up while Gareth and Raina cheer him on.
I realised Whitney still has a doll in his inventory and set him to work looking for a potion to make it real. It became live and watched him work. He had previously been played and had several skills and soon got to level 10 in logic and it seemed to take no time for him to discover the potion to make his IF real.

They had a pillow fight and the IF took the potion and suddenly there were two teens in the household.
In the middle of all of this Raina went to a party at the Orc's place and she was the only guest. They celebrated with a water balloon fight in the basement.

Meanwhile Gareth's IF had become live and Gareth quickly found his potion. He played with his IF for a while and then gave it the potion. The household now has 2 Adults: Bobby and Raina, 2 Teens Whitney & Keith, and 2 Children: Gareth & Ken. I have now given up on finding names beginning with the first initial of original names of Imaginary Friends made real. The household has a dog and a cat that we see around the world occasionally. I am happy to have the extra teens and children at the school. At some point the game managed to get Bobby and Raina married. They had been engaged for a really long time.
Then we moved on to the Big Household and found Oliver fishing in the pond at the graveyard at midnight. He wanted to catch another deathfish. He already had 5 in his inventory. I had placed Grims' Ghastly Manor into the world as the graveyard.

We then embark on a look around town at all of the spooky places I've added to the world. They include Grim's Ghastly Manor, The Gothique Library, St. James' Simitarium (the hospital from Midnight Hollow) and the Spectral Bakery (my haunted build). I started looking around the Spectral Bakery and this led to me making a tutorial on how to add the ghosts to tombstones and I've posted that video now. I don't know if anyone wants to know that but I thought I'd make the tutorial and it's there now.
Then Phil aged up from toddler to child.

The world is empty and I have added whatever I wanted to it. This includes a few parks that I've made from scratch and two that I've made previously and placed from my library. The two I placed are my Supernatural Park which is in my Studio on the Exchange, and a park I made much later and it has third party custom content in it. It is a dome and you will have seen it in Episode 12 A if you watched that episode.
The new parks I added have been a work in progress. One of them started out as very tiny fishing hold that I made years ago in Barnacle Bay. I placed it in an area a long way from roads or other venues. It was on a tiny lot and I placed it on a 40x40 lot an expanded the fishing hold and added spawners and other things to make it more fun for the sims. In the next episode I hope to show you a party Debbie threw at the fishing hole. It was a great success.

While adding a rock to a small pond that I placed behind the science facility I discovered the Sim Henge and decided to use it to make another park set well away from roads or buildings. It is on a 64x64 lot and has lots of spawners. I took some of them out and then added some back. I got very excited when I had a look at it during the night and found some fireflies had spawned.
This 64x64 lot has insect spawners, minor pet spawners, seed spawners, rock and gem spawners plus wild plants and some decor plants. The little shed started out as a gazebo from Bohemian Garden set. Then I changed it. I'm hoping the sims will be out of the weather with it as it is. I may need the remove the arches and replace them with large windows and a glass door. Inside there are seats plus a sink, a coffee machine, the deep frier and ice cream machine. I haven't play tested it since I added all of this extra stuff. Things may change at some point.
While the gazebo was there the sims were often inside reading. It seems to be a place where they can go to relax. There is an all in one bathroom there too - it's on the far side of the lot on the left.
The next large park I added in a remote area is about University Life. I ended building another small building for the sims to sit in.
I placed popcorn and fairy floss machines in it. The popcorn is noisy so I removed it from the Sim Henge park.
The University Life based park has a bonfire and everyone turned up for the party Debbie had there and that bonfire has countless vials of differnt things thrown into it. I have planted every University Life plant on the lot and sims were picking them and throwing them into the bonfire too. It was quite a party but not as successful as the one at the fishing hole.
Then there is the smaller park I added in the middle of town. It has the wishing well and tree of prosperity. The fireflies came out over the wishing well one night and the pixies turned up too.
This park still has the gazebo from Bohemian Garden set and the tree of prosperity is across on the other side of the park between two of the harvestable trees. There are some insect spawners as well as a few wild plants and an all in one bathroom and a few other things.
I haven't seen much of the fawn around town. I had him living out in the wilderness, then I moved his house into town so we might see him occasionally. I almost missed him, but he makes an appearance in this video. I think he'd been catching butterflies in this park.
The fawn leaving the park. The tree of prosperity is peeking out over his shoulder.
This world is becoming quite lively. The game is matchmaking and that is what I want to happen. I do plan to play all of the households from time to time, but I want the game to handle progress as well. I got it set up so that ageing is turned off for all other worlds in the game when this world is being played - and sims in it will not age when other worlds are being played.
The next episode will start in this world and I hope to show some of the action at the parties I mentioned here. Then I will play forward. At this point in the game, Bill has returned to Lucky Palms and I've activated the Main Household but haven't played forward. You will see that in the next episode. I'm hoping for another baby to be born before the end of that episdoe.
That's it for now. I hope you are able to watch this episode and enjoy it.
