Rebuilding Appaloosa Plains - UPDATED Feb 4 2026

Hello fellow Simmers :smile:
I'm taking on the Build A City Challenge, using Appaloosa Plains and very few mods.

As the town grows, you'll see different Sims' stories emerge. From the town's first community lot to each household and unlocked rabbit hole, watch the drama unfold as I rebuild Appaloosa Plains.

I'll be posting previews of each chapter in this thread, with links to the full versions on my website. You can also follow along on Blogger and Archive of Our Own.

Part One
Part One begins with a community garden founded by Bridget Tevellyn -- a young Sim hoping to build a family away from the bustle of the city and the catty small towns she grew up in -- and shares the stories that arise as each new home and community lot are built.

    Another unexpected hiatus - this was a long one, I apologize! Finishing my last course for my Master's and our sudden decision to buy a house eliminated all my Simming time over the past few months. Luckily, we're all settled in now and it's just my thesis ahead of me. And with the break from the game and story-writing, I'm re-energized to jump back in :smile:

    It took over a year for me to get back to this, but you finally get to read how Emery's time in France ended!

    I'm sorry I've been so sporadic with new chapters; they're getting longer and the last few have required a lot of re-shoots so it was difficult to stay motivated. I kind of just had to wait for inspiration to come back. I'm happy we're finally back in Appaloosa Plains :smile:
