@seaben & @ciane : Oh, how interesting! I think I'm going to have to read that entire thread - it sounds fascinating!
I'm not sure I could build for it, though. I can't keep my Sims 3 game up for even half an hour before it crashes, anymore. About a month before Addy started this thread I tried playing it, and it crashed after 15 minutes. At that point I completely gave up; I moved all my Sims 3 folders (from the My Documents areas) to another drive.
I didn't uninstall, however, so if I launch it again, it will launch without CC or store, and it MIGHT be able to run then. So I'm thinking that if I turn off all packs in the launcher, it will probably run, and then I can help work on the community build for this thread. I'm not sure what I'll be able to make with only base game, but it will be a challenge. :)
Not having the game active on my computer won't stop me from checking for CC for Addy, because Custard is completely independent of running the game. :)
I've been playing Sims 4 lately, because - even though it's not nearly as fun as Sims 3 - it doesn't crash. That's something, at least. Even though the Sims in that game are boring as heck and have no personality at all. I really hope EA learns from all of the complaints that the game changers make about that, and when they make Sims 5, they make their Sims interesting again, and have personalities, like they do in Sims 3 and Sims 2.
