Achievement Thread - Guide on how to achieve them

My son is talking about getting my old computer going again as he wants to use the sound card I have on it to record some music he's written. This conversation is making me think I ought to see if the Sims 3 still works on it too to see if I can get any of the old badges that don't work any more. Then I remembered it can't link up to the internet as we no longer have a modem and it doesn't have the necessary technology installed to go wireless. :(
