I did enough memories to get the badges then turned them off because they clogged the game so badly, and aren't well implemented anyway. First trip to the store in your life? Sure, remember it. Four hundred sixty-ninth trip? NOT worth a discrete memory!
My thoughts exactly... Worst part being the "first time X action takes place" concept was already well implemented in the game (moodlet for the first romance, for first kiss, for first Woohoo, special wish to have a first child, moodlet for first werewolf transformation, or, for the "Imaginary Friends", moodlets the first time they use a shower, a toilet, a tv, etc...), so I don't see why every single shopping sprees or fishes caught are remembered... Memories could have been governed by the same "First time" pattern, with maybe a threshold for remembering exceptionally big shopping sprees (read: when you purchase the "Ambrosia" "Cookbook" or few third level "Skillbooks".) That way, you wouldn't have like 25 pages or memories like "Late for work", "got a promotion", "Visited a graveyard", etc...
